One More Week Until....

PIRATE FOOTBALL!!!!

Today marks one week before Pirate football begins. I am getting so excited. Our first game is against Appalachian State at 12:00...Sure hope it's not too hot! Stay posted next weekend for pictures from tailgating and the game. GO PIRATES!

Show Us Your Life - Wedding Showers

This week at Kelly's Korner it is Show Us Your Life - Wedding Showers. Elizabeth just got married in May, so we either gave or attended wedding showers. In March all of Elizabeth's Bridesmaids treated her to a weekend in Myrtle Beach, filled with shopping and a lot of girl time. We had a lot of fun! Since we were going out of town for the weekend, we packed a bucket of goodies. We tried to pack healthy stuff, but then you know, we had to have a little bit of junk food as well!!

In High School there were 4 of us girls who were best friends: Elizabeth, Jessica, Stacey, and myself. When Stacey got married, back in 2006, we made it a tradition to throw a Monogram Shower when one of us 4 got married. This year it was Elizabeth's turn. This is a perfect shower for anyone who loves things monogrammed!

I also have given my cousin Lindsay a Monogram Shower. This seems to be a really fun shower for girls.

We also gave Katie and Bryant a His/Her Shower when they were getting married. With Katie being a teacher and Bryant being a fire fighter, we had a cake made with teacher materials on one side, and fire fighting stuff on the other. A His/Her Shower is a good way to honor the Bride and the Groom during their special time.

I wish I had more pictures to share from these showers, but my computer was stolen. Piece of advice....Have your pictures saved on a jump drive or something besides your computer, because I have lost all pictures that are no longer on my camera!!!

Show us Your Life: Baby Shower

Kelly from Kelly's Korner started a Show us Your Life a couple weeks ago. This is the first week I have participated. We are to show a Baby Shower that we have given or been to, so here it goes...

Well, I have only given one Baby Shower, and it was a lot of fun. It was the first baby in our group of friends, so that made it really special.

We decided to do Stacey's Shower as a brunch, so here is the food we served...SO GOOD!

Dancing with the Stars

The stars have been revealed! I am not a big fan of any of them, so there is no telling who I am going to want to win. Guess I will just have to tune in on September 21!

Polka Dot Bunco

Tonight we had Bunco at Jeanne's house. She had a polka dot theme, so every prize had polka dots on it. I won socks. If you know me, you know I love to wear cute socks in the winter. She also had the best dessert ever! It was kind of like a banana split. I will have to get the recipe and share! Thanks Jeanne!

Nags Head

Last weekend we went to Nags Head. We had a lot of fun. Friday the boys did their own thing after we ate breakfast, so us girls headed to Jockey's Ridge. Yes, we climbed it. Melisa climbed it carrying Jackson! We were definitely tired after that, so we went back to the hotel afterwards. We were in need of a nap!!

Last Saturday it was cloudy so we went to the Outlets. After we had lunch, I received a phone call. It was my cousin, Lindsay. They all went to Kinston for the day to celebrate Mema and Big's birthdays, but turns out they ended up celebrating something else....Lindsay is going to be a MOMMY!!! I am so excited. It's been 15 years since we have had a baby in the family!
