SNOW!!!

Finally we got some snow last night!! Today it has been a lot of freezing rain, but we still had a fun morning. They are saying that tonight all the snow that is on the road is going to refreeze, so I am sure we will be in the house again tomorrow :( Here are some pictures from today...

My House Brad and I got out this morning to go ride around. He wanted to go see if anyone had driven into a ditch; he finally got to see 2! As we were riding around, we decided to go see the Meeks. Here are just a couple of pictures of our time with them!

Connor, the little snow bunny! Me and Brad Connor looking out the window at us taking pictures in the snow! Brad and Bryan

We told Bryan to put his coat on...as you can see he is really cold! Ok...Here is the start of some pics of me trying to get on Stacey's back to take a picture. We were roommates our freshman year in college. We had a big snow storm right before Christmas that year, and decided to take a picture to send out as Christmas cards from the two of us. Well today we were trying to relive that day by me getting on Stacey's back to take the picture. Let's just say it was definitely not as easy as it was 10 years ago!! Hope you laugh as much at these pictures as I did when I was uploading them on the blog!!

Attempting to get on the 1st time!

I knocked Stacey down :) Me trying to help her get back up! Almost there... This is as good as it got!!! Now that we have been stuck inside all afternoon, I finally have something to do...Watch Miss America!!

Basketball

Now that football is over, except for the Super Bowl, I can get into basketball. Ever since I was a little girl, I have been a fan of UNC. Things are still the same as I am now older. Last night Carolina played NC State, at State. With the season going like it has, I will admit, I was a little nervous going into last night's game. Well....the Tar Heels pulled through and beat State. I enjoyed watching the game, and hope they can continue on a winning!!

Droppin' Like Flies

So...Jake was droppin' girls like flies last night on The Bachelor. I can hardly believe he sent both girls home on his 2 on 1 date. I was sure thinking that Ella was going to at least make it through this date...guess I was wrong. This is one girl that I so wish he would hurry up and send home. I guess since I have heard all the girls talk about her so much, I am just as ready for her to go home as they are!! Maybe since she recieved a rose this week, she will go home before he goes to their home town to meet the parents!
I have always thought that Tenly was cute and would probably make it towards the end. Well....she has made it a little bit further. The longer she is on the show, the more I like her. I would consider her one of my top three.
I am so glad that Corrie is finally coming out of her shell. She is too cute! I just knew that if she didn't hurry up and interact with Jake that she would be going home soon. Hopefully since she made a move last night, she will be able to last a little bit longer. I hope she will be one of the final ones standing.
There is still something about Ali that I love. She is definitely my favorite!
So...Who you think Jake's final rose will go to?!?

Pet and Baby Sitting

Yesterday Katie hosted a baby shower for Sarah. With it being at Katie's house, and all of us crazy girls there, Katie asked if Sophie could stay at my house. I knew Sophie would be find so of course, I said yes! Here are a couple of pictures of Sophie before I left for the baby shower.

All she wanted to do was stand and look out the front door

Last night Stacey and Bryan had to go to Bryan's cousin's wedding, so they asked us to keep Connor. I went and picked him up from their house; as soon as I walked in the door, he looked at me and said "Bubba"...that is what he calls Brad. I said sorry buddy, he's not with me! I packed all his stuff up and loaded him in the car. Michael, the groom, gave Stacey orders that he wanted Connor to be at some of the wedding festivities, so I had to get him dressed so that he could attend the reception for a little bit. Here are a couple of pictures of Connor all dressed up!!

Connor's "Cheese" Face
All dressed up, ready to go!

Thanks Katie and Stacey for allowing me to play with your children yesterday!!

Lindsay's Baby Shower

Yesterday we went to Wilmington for Lindsay's first baby shower. Some ladies that go to Aunt Gail's church gave Lindsay the shower. We had so much fun, and she got so many cute things for "baby girl." I am so ready for her arrival so Lindsay can dress her up in all the cute little outfits that she got!! Here are a couple of pictures from the shower.

Lindsay at 33 weeks!

The party was at Mrs. Holly's house. As you walked in, there was a table with envelopes on it. Each envelope had a different day throughout the year (Christmas Day, First Word, First Birthday). Every lady at the shower was to pick an envelope, and write something on the enclosed card. Throughout the baby's first year, they will open each card on that special day; so, whenever they are on the way to the hospital for her arrival, they will open the "On the way to the hospital" envelope. All these notes will be used to make a scrapbook. I loved this idea...I'll have to use it one day.

This is Lindsay opening the gift from me. I gave her the giraffe print bag on the floor with some outfits in it. This outfit she is holding up is for "baby girl" to wear to the Carolina games. I wanted to monogram the bag, but she wasn't sure of her name yet....that's why I am referring to her as "baby girl."

She got this Carolina blue and white Tu Tu from Brett's sister and her family. This was one of my favorite gifts she got. SOOO CUTE! I can't wait to see her in this Tu Tu!! Here is Lindsay and her niece Caroline showing off the Tu Tu. Caroline is not a Carolina fan, so she is giving the Pack sign. We will have to make sure she doesn't let "baby girl" give the Pack sign.
Aunt Gail gave Lindsay this little night light. Mema had given it to Aunt Gail when she was pregnant with Lindsay, so now it is time to pass it down to the next generation.
Lindsay and Aunt Johni
We had such a great time at the baby shower. Little girls are so much fun to buy for!!

Tonight I hosted Bunco. The theme I chose was family fun night. We had pizza for dinner, and all the prizes were different types of games, ranging from Monopoly to Phase 10.

The babies have finally joined our Bunco Group.
Here is Jeanne with Davis & Julie with Sylvie!

Congrats South Florida!!
So today we found out that Coach Holtz is leaving the Pirate Nation. He will be the head coach at South Florida. Us Pirates will sure miss him, but hopefully we will get a coach who can continue to make our football team stronger. Good luck in Florida coach!

Drama on The Bachelor

Can you believe the drama on The Bachelor? I mean really, there are girls that are head over heels about him, and then you have Miss Prissy below who is deciding to have more than one bachelor. I believe it is a good thing that she was asked to leave...What do you think?!?

My two favorites are still there!!!

Tomorrow American Idol starts. I am wondering if this is going to be a good season; I sure hope so. Wonder who the next American Idol will be?!?!?!?
I love having all my favorite TV Shows back on!!

Sad :(

Well, I woke up this morning sad when I didn't see any snow on the ground. I was thinking we would just get a little bit since they said we would all get anywhere from a trace to an inch of snow....Nope, not even a trace of it. Oh well, I guess we will have a big snow later on...at least I hope so!! Still had a 2 hour delay for work so that was nice. I could get use to going to work at 10:30!

We are still going to have some cold weather for the next couple of days. Soon we are finally going to be making it out of the 30s. I am telling you, it has been one cold week here. I mean if it is going to be this cold, I need for it to snow; if not, it needs to be summer time again!! Take a look at our 7-day forecast. It's going to be cold tomorrow night when we cook out for my birthday.

Check Yes or No

So...What do you think?!?

Yes or No

I am definitely saying NO!!!! I think it looks terrible. She looks better with short hair!

Tonight we are supposed to get a little bit of snow; probably around 1 inch. I am hoping for a lot more. You know you are from the south when schools and offices are delayed 2 hours tomorrow, and the snow isn't even here yet! I'll keep you posted on whether or not we get some snow!!

Birthday

Well today is my 28th Birthday....Yes I am getting older day by day. Brad told me last night that I was almost 30...It will be here before I know it!!!

My day started off celebrating at the office with the girls. Stephanie and I ran out this morning to visit a child care provider, and when we came back they had put pictures of me everywhere....On my car, office doors, my lunch table, my desk, my computer, the refrigerator, and yes even the bathroom! Those girls are too crazy. They are sweet though. They took me to eat Mexican for lunch, and then we came back to enjoy some cake. I also got a gift certificate to Old Navy from them. Thanks Girls....Ya'll made me feel special today! Here are some pictures from the office!

The door coming into the training room.
My Lunch Table
Yesterday we got on the topic of flying: who was and who wasn't scared to fly. Brad has his pilot license, and I told the girls that I wanted to fly with him, so they posted this picture on my lunch table as well. Guess I officially have been flying with Brad!
My birthday celebration continued when I got home. My mom and sister came over to visit. We are going to celebrate my birthday on Saturday with everyone, but mom couldn't have me not open at least one present on my birthday. She gave me some boots. They are like these, but in a khaki color! I was excited b/c I had been looking for these boots.

After Brad got off he gave me a gift from him. It was a gift certificate to Pizzaz. He went in there at lunch, today, and was going to get me a Pandora Bracelet. When he found out they were in different sizes, he said that I had to be the one to go pick everything out! So, this weekend, guess I will be going to get me a new bracelet!!

We then went to eat at...

I had Chicken Alfredo....So very good

I have had a great birthday. Thanks to all who have made it so very special!!

Do you have a favorite?!?

Tonight was the first night of The Bachelor. I am so glad that my shows are coming back on. After everything goes off in the fall, it seems like it takes forever for them to start back up. Although, we get to enjoy Christmas shows during the break, so that's nice.

So, do you have a favorite yet?!? My two favorites are...

Ali

and

Corrie I hope this is going to be a good season of The Bachelor....Wonder who he is going to pick?!?

Sad Night

Well...it's a sad night in NC. The Pirates lost to Arkansas in over time. We went to The Meeks's house for a bowl party celebration, but at the end, we were celebrating the last game of our quarter back and kicker. Bless our kicker's heart, he couldn't make a field goal tonight to save his life. Lets just say that he missed 4 field goals; I'm sure that if there was a record for missed field goals in one game, he beat it. The Hogs took the win 20-17.

Sorry I don't have any pics to share. As I said in another post, my camera is messed up. Hopefully I will either get it fixed or I might have to buy another one:(

Tomorrow is game day! The Pirates will take on the Arkansas Razorbacks. I am getting so excited...think I will start flying my Pirate Football Flags this afternoon!

Be sure to tune in tomorrow at 5:30 p.m. (EST) on ESPN.

GO PIRATES!!!

New Years Eve

I hope you all had a wonderful New Years Eve. Ours was very low key. We met up with The Meeks, The Radfords, and The Beddards for dinner at Finelli's. Finelli's is an Italian restaurant here in Greenville. After dinner we headed back over to The Meeks's house to ring in the new year. We had a great New Years Eve, and don't have much planned for New Years Day.

Here is a picture of us from last night!
I wish I had more pictures to share, but something is wrong with my camera. For those of you who know me well, this is driving me crazy. I am used to carrying my camera with me everywhere I go, b/c you never know when you might need to take a picture. I am hoping that the camera can be fixed...I sure do not want to have to buy another one!!
