Past Couple of Days

Saturday was Brad's birthday. We headed to Chapel Hill for the State/Carolina game. We were a little worried the roads would be bad, considering we had 5 1/2 inches of snow Friday night, but they were clear. The game was fun. Before the game started, they honored Ty Lawson and Wayne Ellington. Their jerseys are now hung in the rafters. Here is a picture of them being recognized.
This year, Carolina is celebrating 100 years of Carolina Basketball. Friday night they had a game where different letter men played one another. During half-time on Saturday, they recognized all the letter men. This was pretty neat to watch...At least Brad enjoyed it!
We had a great time at the game....and even came out with the win...GO HEELS!
Lindsay had a baby shower on Saturday, but with us going to the game, I wasn't able to go. I wish I could have done both, because she said she got a lot of cute outfits for Blair! Blair is due to make her arrival on February 28. Not too much longer, maybe she will come sooner. I can hardly wait to get my hands on her. Here is a picture of Lindsay from the shower on Saturday...She looks so cute pregnant.
On Sunday after church we went to Brad's parents to have a birthday lunch, the Beddards and the Meeks were able to join us. Mrs. Judy fixed lots of great food. After we finished eating all that food, I just wanted to lay on the floor and take a nap. Here are a couple of pics from the birthday party!

Brad opening his hand-made card from his mom. He is getting a vacuum cleaner!!!
Connor and his "Bubba" blowing out the candles!
After we had lunch, Brad dropped me off at home, and he had to go run an errand, where I couldn't go. He kept telling me all day that it was a surprise. Well...he wanted to wait and tell me a couple of weeks from now, but I got it out of him. Check out Brad's new little buddy!!
Is he not the cutest. He is only 5 weeks old, so it will be around the first of March before he can get him. I am excited that we are going to have a little puppy to play with. Brad hasn't picked out a name yet...he's waiting to see what his personality is like before he names him. I'll keep you posted on his name, and then when he gets to join the Bowen house, I am sure I will be taking lots of pictures!!
We didn't do much for Valentine's. We just went to Los Charros...our favorite Mexican restaurant...how romantic!! Hope you all had a great Valentine's.
Oh yeah...how could I forget about the Bachelor. I am so not excited about it. I was hoping that Jake would allow Ali to come back, but I guess I can understand why he wouldn't. I am hoping that Tenly wins it all, b/c I really do not like Vienna...but from what everyone keeps telling me, Vienna wins. Guess we will just have to wait and see. Next week, where the women tell all, shall be very interesting!
Hope you all are having a great week so far!!

This is what I woke up to this morning!!

It started snowing last night around 9:00. It snowed on and off all night long. When I woke up this morning we had 5 1/2 inches of snow. I can't tell you how long it has been since we have had that much snow. Brad and I are braving the roads today, and headed to Chapel Hill for the State/Carolina basketball game for his birthday!! Happy Birthday Brad!
GO HEELS!!!

Winter Olympics

Well...it's that time again for the Winter Olympics. Watching the Olympics is something I love to do. I seem to like the summer Olympics the best with swimming and gymnastics, but I also love the skiing and ice skating during the winter Olympics. Tonight is opening ceremony...guess I will be watching. Do you like watching the Olympics...if so, what is your favorite sport?!?

Fell a little short

Well...the Tar Heels fell a little short from beating Duke last night. I was very surprised by how well they played, considering they haven't had the best season.
My cousin called me yesterday afternoon telling me she was on her way to Chapel Hill. I started to get excited, thinking she was about to tell me Lindsay was on the way to the hospital to have the baby. I was wrong, she was going to tell me she was on the way to the Duke/Carolina game. What a cool game to go to.
I know she was so excited she got to go last night considering they retired Tyler Hansbrough's jersey...She is in love with Tyler. What an awesome ball player, who broke many records throughout his 4 years at Carolina. Now, no one will ever wear the number 50 jersey at Carolina...it is hung high in the rafters of the Dean Dome.
Better luck on Saturday against State. I hope they play well, considering Brad's birthday is Saturday, and tickets to the game was my gift to him!!
GO HEELS!!

No Rose Ceremony!!

Ok....So how many of you watched The Bachelor last night? Again, I wasn't that very happy after watching it. Last week Corrie got sent home, and then last night Ali was helped to make the decision, by her job, to go home. I hated watching her cry about leaving, because it looked as if she really wanted to be there. Not only did she want to be there, but I really think Jake wanted her to be there as well.

Since Ali left, there wasn't a rose ceremony last night. With the three that are left, I definitely want Tenly to win. Guess we will have to wait a couple of weeks to see. It shall be interesting to find out how the over night dates go next week. I also am wanting to know what Ali has to say when she calls Jake...

Super Bowl

Last night we watched the Super Bowl at my house. We ate different kinds of dip and enjoyed the game. I was excited when I found out Carrie Underwood was singing the National Anthem.
At the beginning of the game I was pulling for the Colts because I like Payton Manning. After watching more of the game, I began to like the Saints even more. Well....as you know, the Saints pulled through for the win. Here is Brees with his wife and little boy. After the game, Brees stole my heart when he was holding his little boy with tear filled eyes. Congrats to the Saints!!
I am sure you all watched the game, just so you could see the commercials. My favorite one was the Doritos one with the dog and shock collar....too cute to me! What was your favorite commercial?!?

Now...it's time to get ready to watch The Bachelor!!!

Not Very Happy :(

Well...if you watched The Bachelor tonight, and you know who my favorites are, then you should definitely know why I am not very happy! Tonight there were 3 one-on-one dates, and a two-on-one date. Tenly, Corrie, and Ali are the ones that had a one-on-one date, and Gia and Vienna had the two-on-one date.

I was so excited when I found out Corrie was having a one-on-one, hoping that she would really open up. She did open up some, but I guess not enough...She got sent home. She seems like a really cute, sweet girl, so I am sure she will find her a man!
I can not believe Jake is still holding on to Vienna....I am really not liking her at all these days. Maybe he will see the light next week, as he has to visit her home town.
I am thinking that the final two will be Tenly and Ali...What do you think?!?
