Last night Brad's family had a retirement party for his Aunt Anne. She has been teaching in the public school system for 39 years. We had a really good time. Some of the children she taught were able to attend...which were her 2 sons and her nieces and nephews. Could you imagine having to teach your own family, or having your mom or aunt as your English teacher?!? I sure couldn't imagine having my mom in the 3rd grade! Each of them shared with the group what they learned when she was their teacher...sweet and funny stories. Mrs. Judy, Brad's mom, sang a song that she had made up, and read a story about "Honk If You Love Teachers!" Both the song and the story were hilarious.
